Why Do Teachers Not Practice What They Believe Regarding Technology Integration?
Research findings indicate that teachers' beliefs play an important role in their deciding how they will integrate technology into the classroom. The author uses qualitative research methods to explore the relations between teachers'pedagogical beliefs and technology integration.

I like that Chen points out that a barrier to technology integration is the expectations of our culture, where we emphasize competition and high-stakes assessment. Teachers DO need more freedom in how they assess their students, and those ways are out there. The difficulty comes in getting parents and administrators to accept unconventional assessment methods. It's so much easier to just point to a pen and paper test.
