DESTINY - Online Catalog
Destiny is a wonderful instructional tool for students, teachers, administrator and media specialist alike. Destiny allows access to materials based on Georgia Standards and also permits selection of reading levels so all your students can be successful. Books and websites, can be shared in lists that are available online to your students to help guide them through an assignment. Best of all you can access Destiny from your classroom computer as well as in the media center and computer labs. You can see what’s available in the media center collection of books and audio-visuals; also note what you have checked out.

Destiny is a great tool, however my concern is the fact that it requires so much time to use it.
For example, in my district, if I want my students to do a quick search to find out something like, "What year did Bill Clinton take office?"...they can easily find the answer on Google (with my supervision), but on Destiny, it takes them forever to find that answer.
I'd use it regularly on an exclusive basis, but the time factor deters me from bringing my students to the media center to work on projects...I simply use a laptop cart and supervise my students closely on Google and Destiny.
