Application of blogs to my practice

Blogs have become increasingly popular and more teachers are using them to communicate with students and parents. In the library media center blogs can be used in a number of ways to disseminate and get information out about library activities, resources, and ways to integrate technology into classroom instruction. Using a blog to get information out offers the opportunity to be innovative in your communication. Blogging allows you to get the information out, get feedback and responses at the same time. Also other information such as database updates, helpful URL’s and other resources on new technology, service notices and events or special activities can be shared. Blogs used in the library media center allows one to connect more closely to reading and users. Getting feedback about library services and resources can help to evaluate and improve the library media program.
