    As a current educator, I'm open to the idea of ongoing professional development, HOWEVER, this has to be something districts are willing to stick with, and not abandon after a few months of implementation. In addition, districts must make the commitment to provide follow up assistance, feedback, and the like.

    This reminds me of something I read last night that talked about educators taking charge and control of their own professional development. As it relates to the article you posted, I feel ongoing professional development would work if educators were allowed to pursue what they felt was important vs. a laundry list of district mandated professional development topics.
